Former Chairman Nigerian Bar Association, Ibadan branch and APC Governorship Aspirant during the 2019 general elections Barr. Akeem Agbaje has congratulated the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Oyo state chapter on the Supreme Court judgment.
Barr. Akeem Agbaje while thanking God for the victory, appreciated the judiciary for rising up to its solemn responsibility of ensuring that justice prevails, stressing that the judgment was a clear indication that the third arm of government is the last hope of the common man.
Agbaje describing it as a true reflection of the wishes of the people of the state, especially those at the grassroots. I sincerely appreciate the fighting spirit and the good leadership provided by the ALGON executives led by Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye. Your commitment to the fight to uphold true democracy at the local government level is highly commendable.
Barr. Akeem Agbaje also urged the executive chairmen and councilors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Oyo state chapter and all APC stakeholders in Oyo State to remain united with a view to dislodging the PDP government in the 2023 General elections.
He urged the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde to respect the rule of law and do the needful in the interest of peace and tranquility in the state.
